2017.01.10 - Sprinkler Activated - Lahaska
At 2:42 PM, Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded with Rescue 5 and Ladder 5 to an alarm call for an activated sprinkler system (a.k.a., a Water Flow Alarm). Upon arriving it was determined that there was no fire. However, there was standing water damage to shops from the failed sprinkler pipe. Firefighters worked with shop owners to mitigate the standing water to help ensure the shop owners and patrons safety. No one at the scene was reported injured. The sprinkler failure is under investigation by the Buckingham Fire Marshal.
