Auto Extrication - New Hope Borough

2017.04.25 at 2:37 PM - Rescue 5 from the Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded to a Mutual Aid Request (support) by Eagle Volunteer Fire Company to assist in an auto extrication in New Hope Borough. The vehicle was stabilized and its occupant was safely removed and transported to an area hospital. The cause of  the mishap is under investigation.

Multiple Brush Fires - Buckingham and Solebury

On 2017.04.09, 2017.04.16, 2017.04.17 and 2017.04.23 Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded to Brush Fires. In all cases the fires were brought under control without major property damage. Additionally, all fires were the result of a small “controlled burns” that became unmanageable. We encourage proper fire attention and management at all times. Additionally, if wind or any unanticipated events causes the “controlled burn” to exceed your expectations CALL 911 immediately. Don’t think twice, if in doubt place the call.

2017.04.03 - Brush Fire - Buckingham Township

2017.04.03 at 4:18 PM Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded to the report of a Brush Fire in the Church Road area of Buckingham Township. Upon arrival, it was determined that a controlled burn had expanded following a wind gust. Midway firefighters assisted the homeowner in containing and extinguishing the smoldering leaves. Property damage was limited to leaves. No first response personnel or residents were reported to be injured.

2017.02.20 - Dwelling Fire - Solebury

2017.02.20 at 2:04 AM Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded to a building fire on Center Bridge Road in Solebury Township. The Eagle Volunteer Fire Company was the primary, with Midway Volunteer Fire Company providing mutual-aid (support). The fire was quickly contained to one room. No first response personnel or residents were reported to be injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

2017.02.05 - Brush Fire - Solebury

At 6:20 PM Midway Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a brush fire on Corrigan Road in Solebury Township. Engines 5 and 15, Field Truck 5 and Tanker 5 arrived at the scene and were able to bring the fire under control within minutes. No residents or first responders were injured. Damage was limited to the brush.  The cause of the fire appears to be the accidental disposal of active fireplace embers.

2017.02.04 - Chimney Fire - Buckingham

2017.02.04 at 9:56 AM Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded with two engines, the ladder truck and the tanker to a chimney fire on Antler Drive. The fire was extinguished within minutes of arriving on the scene. Damage appears to be limited. A resident was transported to the hospital as a precaution.

2017.02.03 at 12:12 AM Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded to a building fire in Doylestown. The Doylestown Volunteer Fire Company was the primary, with Midway Volunteer Fire Company providing mutual-aid (support). The fire was contained to a limited number of rooms at the hotel. No first response personnel or residents were reported to be injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshall.

2017.01.30 - Garage Fire - Solebury Township

2017.01.30 at 7:30 PM Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded to a dwelling fire in Solebury Township. The Eagle Volunteer Fire Company was the primary, with Midway Volunteer Fire Company providing mutual-aid (support). The fire was contained to the garage and laundry room. No first response personnel or residents were reported to be injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshall.

2017.01.23 - Fire From Downed Wires - Buckingham

At 5:31 AM Engine 5, Engine 15 and Field Truck 5 responded to the report of a brush fire caused by downed electrical wires on Lower Mountain Road in Buckingham Township. Upon arrival, the road was closed, the fire contained until PECO arrived and then extinguished. No personnel were reported injured.

2017.01.21 - Garage Fire - Plumstead Township

2017.01.21 at 6:37 AM Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded to a dwelling fire in Plumstead Township. The Plumstead Volunteer Fire Company was the primary, with Midway Volunteer Fire Company providing mutual-aid (support). The fire was contained to a storage shed and garage. No first response personnel or residents were reported to be injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshall.

2017.01.19 - Auto Accident with Fire - Buckingham

At 4:28 PM Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded to an auto accident on Route 202 at Mill Road. All three occupants climbed out of their respective vehicles with non-life threatening injuries. All were transported to the Hospital by Central Bucks Ambulance. Doylestown Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.  he cause of the accident is under investigation.

2017.01.10 - Sprinkler Activated - Lahaska

At 2:42 PM, Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded with Rescue 5 and Ladder 5 to an alarm call for an activated sprinkler system (a.k.a., a Water Flow Alarm). Upon arriving it was determined that there was no fire. However, there was standing water damage to shops from the failed sprinkler pipe. Firefighters worked with shop owners to mitigate the standing water to help ensure the shop owners and patrons safety. No one at the scene was reported injured. The sprinkler failure is under investigation by the Buckingham Fire Marshal.
