2017.11.09 AT 1:44 PM Midway Volunteer Fire Company provided mutual aid to Eagle Volunteer Fire Company in responding to a fire in a retail establishment on Main Street in New Hope, PA. There were no reported injuries at the scene. Cause and damage estimates are being determined.

2017.11.07 at 3:42PM Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded to the report of a brush fire on Pineville Road. The team quickly put out the fire. No additional property was damaged. There were no injuries to first responders.

2017.10.07 at 12:18PM Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded to a two vehicle accident with an entrapment. One person was extricated from the vehicle and transported to an area trauma center. Route 202 at Bycroft Road was reopened approximately 1:30PM. There were no injuries to first responders.

2017.09.08 at 2:22 PM - Fire companies from New Hope, Hunterdon County, Upper Makefield, and Lingohocken along with Midway Volunteer Fire Company successfully extricated the driver of a panel truck involved in a single vehicle accident on Route 232. Once extricated, the driver was taken to a local hospital by Central Bucks EMS for treatment. The cause of the accident is under investigation. None of the first responders were injured.

Two individuals were removed from the vehicle (one had to be extricated) and were transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation and property damage costs were not immediately available. 


2017.06.12 at 4:07 PM - Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded to an accident on Upper Mountain Road in Buckingham Township. The driver was not seriously injured. Scene containment actions by the fire company mitigated serious environment damage from fuel or the contents of the truck.

2017.04.25 at 2:37 PM - Rescue 5 from the Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded to a Mutual Aid Request (support) by Eagle Volunteer Fire Company to assist in an auto extrication in New Hope Borough. The vehicle was stabilized and its occupant was safely removed and transported to an area hospital. The cause of  the mishap is under investigation.

2017.04.25 at 2:37 PM - Rescue 5 from the Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded to a Mutual Aid Request (support) by Eagle Volunteer Fire Company to assist in an auto extrication in New Hope Borough. On 2017.04.09, 2017.04.16, 2017.04.17 and 2017.04.23 Midway Volunteer Fire Company responded to Brush Fires. In all cases the fires were brought under control without major property damage. Additionally, all fires were the result of a small “controlled burns” that became unmanageable. We encourage proper fire attention and management at all times. Additionally, if wind or any unanticipated events causes the “controlled burn” to exceed your expectations CALL 911 immediately. Don’t think twice, if in doubt place the call.
