Each year, fire companies and ambulance squads in Central Bucks County choose a member of their organization to honor as “Firefighter of the Year” for their accomplishments as members of their emergency service organization as wells as their commitment to serving their community.

In October of each year, the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce and the Burpee Family host a dinner and awards ceremony for all of the “Firefighter of the Year” honorees from each organization. Since 2001 Our Honor Guard has presented the colors at the beginning of the awards ceremony.

Below is a list of all of the recipients of the “Firefighter of the Year” award from the Midway Volunteer Fire Company since the award was first given out in 1973.
